Clinique Ferrière de Bon Secours is a leading healthcare provider in Mauritius, with a rich history dating back to its establishment in 1923, making it the oldest clinic on the island. The clinic offers a comprehensive range of medical services, including preventive, curative, and palliative care. With 35 beds, 2 state-of-the-art operating theatres, a High Dependency/Intensive Care Unit, and a technologically advanced platform that keeps pace with the latest advancements, the clinic is fully equipped to meet the diverse needs of its patients.

Our History

Clinique Ferrière de Bon Secours is the oldest clinic on the island of Mauritius. Founded in 1923 by Dr Joseph Anthony Ferriere, the clinic has a long and proud history of providing high-quality healthcare to the people of Mauritius.

In 1962, the clinic was handed over to the Congrégation des Soeurs de Charité de Notre Dame du Bon et Perpétuel Secours (BPS). Under the BPS’s stewardship, the clinic has continued to grow and expand, and today it is one of the leading medical centers in Mauritius.

In 2019, the clinic underwent a significant redevelopment, with the establishment of the Palliative Care Unit – the first of its kind in Mauritius. The unit provides comprehensive care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, and it has been praised for its compassionate and holistic approach to care.

Today, Clinique Ferrière de Bon Secours continues to uphold its legacy of excellence in patient care. The clinic is committed to providing its patients with the highest quality of care, and it is proud to be a leading provider of healthcare in Mauritius.

Management team

CFDBS is run by a Board of Directors under the chairmanship of Francois de Grivel. Other board members are Sister Marilyne Radegonde, Sister Angélique Langlois, Chantal Tyack, Nirmala Ramburn, Father Alain Romaine, Jacques Pougnet, Pierre Raffray and Eddy Jolicoeur. 

The day to day management is under the care of Donald Ha Yeung. The Medical Director is Dr Vicky Naga.
